If you’ve been to Paris, you’ve probably seen this clock.

It’s the Conciergerie Clock, and as its name infers, it’s located on the Conciergerie’s wall, on the Tour de l’Horloge (Clock’s Tower), at the intersection of Boulevard du Palais and Quai de l’Horloge (Clock’s Pier), on Île de la Cité.

Seriously, it’s impossible not to find it if you’re looking for it.

Anyway, this clock is of importance, not just because of the way it looks, but also because it dates from the 15th Century (it’s been renovated a few times since) and it was the first public clock in Paris.
